1 day trip in Antalya Kaleiçi! Antalya, Turkey while traveling along the turquoise coastline is one of the major cities and key destinations. Especially the old city called Kaleiçi is a great place to hang out for a day or two. 1. The discovery of Kaleiçi, the old city of Antalya A walk in the old town during the day. A small maze with beautiful architecture like a mosque and parks with relaxing people inside. Not big, big enough to wander. Vehicles cannot enter Kaleiçi, a place closed to traffic. So it would be such a nice escape in the middle of a busy city. 2. Panoramic Glass Elevator It is a great walk along Kaleiçi and when you reach the port, it is not difficult to go back thanks to the elevator. Glass elevator is an iconic place in Kaleici. The elevator connects old Antalya with the new Antalya. When you reach the summit, you can enjoy the harbor view for a few minutes. 3. Play with cats in the Cat Garden When you go up from the Kaleiçi with an elevator, you will see the cat garden made by animal lovers. Here you can play with the rescued street cats and take care of them. They are very cute. 4. Kaleiçi harbor before sunset When the sun goes down, walk to the pier, sit on the ledge and enjoy a perfect sunset. 5. Shopping in Antalya All the small and narrow streets of Kaleiçi are full of small shops where you can buy local souvenirs at very affordable prices. It is a small 30-minute drive from Antalya International Airport to Kaleiçi. Taxis and vehicles have to enter the old city through a controlled door. Private vehicles cannot enter. If you have rented a car and are staying in a hotel in Kaleiçi, you can park in Kaleiçi free of charge.
